Capital advertising opportunity

Capital (98.4) FM and New Revenue Solutions (Australia) have launched Image Plus in Kenya. This advertising package will offer companies 20 30-second advertisements (recorded free by Capital) each month, 50% of which will air during prime time – all for an annual cost of 1.4 million shillings, which is a 70% discount on Capital’s current advertising rates. Companies who sign up this week will also receive an additional 120 30-second advertisements over the next 12 months.

Earthquake

A mini quake shook downtown Nairobi this afternoon. Buildings swayed gently from side to side for about fifteen-seconds, with calendars flying off the walls. No damage really, just to people’s psyches. They hurried downstairs from twenty floors up, with memories of the 1998 bomb blast at the back of their minds and stayed down until they ascertained that it was just a tremor. Most offices closed early at 4 p.m.
