Call me dottore (Dr.)
Actually, in Italy, I am qualified to be called “ragioniere,” “cavaliere,” “dottore magistrale,” and even “dottore di ricerca.” But for now dottore will suffice

Reminds me of a friend that went to a ‘dentist’ in Italy for some dental work. The dental work was quite substandard to say the least. He had to seek retreatment in the US later. The dottore was apparently a dental technician (got 2yrs of training after h.school) and could treat patients. So much for being a dottore.
